PAAC Presents Breakfast with Glenn Thibeault, Ontario Minister of Energy. (Biography)

On May 2nd, PAAC hosts a breakfast conversation with Glenn Thibeault, Ontario’s Minister of Energy. Over the years, the Energy file has proven to be one of the provincial government’s most complex portfolios, as recently demonstrated by public concern over rising electricity prices.  In response, the government released its Fair Hydro Plan to reduce electricity bills by 25 percent on average for all households and as many as half a million small businesses and farms.
To achieve this reduction, Minister Thibeault examined the province’s energy policies from every angle in order to deliver the single largest cut to hydro rates in Ontario’s history, held to inflation for four years, and which will fit into long-term structural change for the electricity system.
