Join us on January 29 for our first PAAC breakfast event of 2015! As always, this presentation promises to be very engaging and insightful. In any industry, whether banking, financial, oil or medical, knowing how to communicate effectively in a crisis situation is crucial. Our speaker, Bill Walker, will share some of the important lessons he has learned throughout his 30 year career while confronting several challenging PR situations. Bill is an eloquent speaker and has recently published his new book, Crisis Communications in the 24/7 Social Media World.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • Why most organizations fail at crisis communications and the dangerous reality that most of us would react the same way.
  • What a Social Media feeding frenzy looks like and what to do if it strikes.
  • How to win at crisis communications by shattering expectations of the public and your  stakeholders.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Bill Walker is President of MidtownPR Inc., a strategic communications firm based in Toronto. A specialist in crisis communications, Mr. Walker worked among Canada’s leading political journalists, with postings as bureau chief at the Ontario Legislature at Queen’s Park, as parliamentary bureau chief in Ottawa and as Washington bureau chief during President George W. Bush’s first term, the attacks of 9/11 and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
